Clipboards hung outside the office door create a useful display space for kids artwork, calendars, photographs, and other bits of whimsy.
Notice Meg’s beautiful prints? They are some of my favorite.
I found all the clipboards at Goodwill. Sometimes you just hit the shop at the right time and they have a bunch of one item. That’s what happened with these clipboards. I picked out a bunch of different style clips, so they don’t all look the same.
I even cut one of them with a jigsaw so that it fits around our thermostat.
This is one of the first things you see as you enter from our garage. It is also one of my favorite walls in the house. {oh, and sorry about the lighting…little to no natural light hitting this part of the house when I took these photos}
Right now, I have information from the kids classes on a few of the clipboards…a sharing calendar, important information from the little guy’s back to school night, and monthly calendars with school holidays and the PE/music schedule.
I also put up the full-sized ruler growth chart that I made a couple of years ago. Go to Pinterest, and type in “wooden ruler growth chart” for tons of tutorials.
If you aren’t interested in a DIY project, go to Etsy and type in “wooden ruler growth chart” for all kinds of awesome shops that can create one for you!

Makes me wish I had little ones again – awesome Wall!
Your house must be gorgeous! I love this idea – it’s both practical but pretty!
I am currently staining a board to make the height ruler…can’t wait! Love to see all of the height marks for your little ones!
Love, love, love! I have been wanting to make a wooden ruler growth chart!! It’s on my project to do list – hopefully the littles won’t have grown too much by the time it makes it to the top of the list 😉 Love the clipboards and love the ‘Whatever’ shop where you got your beautiful prints! It’s brilliant to put this right outside your office door. I’m now thinking about a wall I could add something like this…. 😉 Pinning this post, too ❤ Thanks for more awesome ideas, Stephany!
What a fabulous wall, think I will definitly have to recreate one at our house 😀
Loving all of your ideas. So practical and do-able.
These are some really neat ideas. I enjoyed reading it.
love these ideas!!!
I love it! I’ve always liked the look of clipboard as “frames”, and you’ve inspired me to go for it! 🙂
Love this!
I love your ideas!
What did you use to hang the clip boards? I tried command strips but they seem to be too thin and I tried print hangers but they were really obvious.
i just used little nails.
Using clipboards as frames is a great wall decorate idea. I would certainly try this.
I love this idea! How did you attach the clipboards to the wall? Did you use anchors?
i just used nails, but i also think command strips would work well.
How did you hang the clipboards?
