a beautiful day

Yesterday we took a trip up to the mountain where the sun was shining.

Reece got up on skis for the third year in a row!

We’re ready to hand him off to some instructors next time so he can really learn, but I think he is doing awesome.

Lorelai  wasn’t ready to start skiing, but she had fun playing in the snow and making a fashion statement.

Don’t be surprised if you start to see tutu’s over ski pants all over the slopes!

It was a beautiful day!

home is…lots of smiles.

closer to 3 and 5

I used to have a newborn and a toddler.

Then, I had a toddler and a preschooler.

In less than 2 weeks I will have a preschooler and a kindergartner.

I remember thinking that 2 and 4 was soooo far away.

And, here we are.

Closer to 3 and 5 than we are to 2 and 4.

I want to soak it all in.

Remember every little thing they do.

Capture every smile and, even, every tantrum.

Because it’ll be gone before I know it.

I remember how hard those newborn and toddler days were.

I feel terrible for all of the nasty texts and messages that I sent to Ryan when he was traveling to Seattle every week to support our family.

I also feel so thankful that I was there to be with my children.

Everyday.

Because too soon, they will not be with me everyday.

But, as of today, I have a toddler and a preschooler.

And, I am going to enjoy every second of it.

home is…being a stay-at-home-mom. everyday.
