Yesterday morning the little guy wanted to tell Ryan something. I knew that Ryan was on a flight to California, so I suggested that we send him a text that he could read once he landed…

As we drove by REI tonight the little guy said, “That’s the coolest store in the world!”

I asked him why and he replied, “Because they have soooo many bikes that I can buy!”

Then he added, “It’s even as cool as the Batmobile!”

Now that’s cool!

Last night when I was snuggling with the little guy I asked him who he thought he would play with at school tomorrow.

He replied, “Josiah.”

I replied, “I am happy to hear that. What about James and Jaiden.”

“Uh-huh, ” he said.

“Oh, any what about Lucy and Emily?” I asked, thinking I should add in some girl names.

“You know I play with Lucy and Emily,” the little guy chuckled.

“Yeah, you’re right. They are cute,” I said.

“Emily is the cutest.”

He actually has a “cutest” out of the girls.

My heart melted.

And, Emily is VERY cute.

She sat in my lap when the teacher read a book when I visited their class last year.

Lucy is VERY cute, too.

Early this morning when he came to snuggle…

lg: “Mommy, do you bet that outerspace is as far as a billion?”

m: Half asleep, but reminding myself to remember what he said, “Yeah.”

lg: “Me too.”

This morning when baby girl and I finally woke up and made our way downstairs…

“Where’s my sweet Lola?”

When he sees her, “There’s my sweet Lola! Can I give you a hug?”

After he hugs her he makes a space on the sofa next to him and says, “Do you want to come up and snuggle with me?”

Little Guy: “Mommy, when will we move to a new house?”

Mommy: “Oh, I don’t know. We may never move to a different house. We might just stay in this one.”

LG: “I don’t want to stay in this one.”

M: “Why?”

LG: “This house is boring.”

Just when I thought I had written the cutest thing he said today (which was first thing this morning) he goes and knocks my socks off…

Mommy: “Did you have a good day at school today?”

Little Guy: “Yes.”

M: “What was your favorite part?”

LG: “Seeing you. I missed you.”
