The kids played nicely while I snapped photos, edited photos, and typed up listings on the computer last week.

We said goodbye to this yesterday…
And, after a brief delay at the airport…
We got on this and flew across the Pacific.
Lorelai and I had a nice snuggle on the plane yesterday.
The boys also snuggled for a bit…
Then we had a little fun with photo booth on my laptop…
Then I realized that the flash was going off and the other passengers might not be too happy, so we stopped. Oops!
The boys woke up from their snooze, and we all settled in for the remainder of the flight.
The kids did awesome. They are both sick and were troopers during the long flight home.
We’re all happy to be home after such a wonderful family vacation.
Now it’s back to reality…

I’ve added a few finds into the shop in the last week…
I came across some vintage postal and kitchen scales and bought a bunch of them.
Both scales above are from the early 1950’s…postage was three cents per ounce!
I love the color in this one…I kept one like it for myself.

See that?! She said my blog is adorable.
Anyway, these two women are inspirational to me, so it was an honor to be mentioned on both of their blogs this week. They both seem to enjoy life to the fullest and share that with others.
They spread happiness, love, and creativity, which is what I strive to do, too.
On Friday, I will have our summer list on the blog…inspired by Meg!

colton+cadence is officially open for business.
While my first thought for colton+cadence ran along the handmade lines I have decided that selling some vintage finds is how I want to start out my little venture.
Along with my recent collection of globes I have also started collecting vintage Pyrex!
Some of the treasures that I have chosen not to keep are for sale at colton+cadence!
Don’t you worry, handmade is sure to come…just when I have a bit more time.

Ryan gave me an idea the other night and I am going to run with it.
Do you remember the dolls I made for my kiddos?
I have tweaked the pattern a bit to make it my own and am ready to try it out!
Since I am not ready to start up my etsy shop quite yet, but still love to create, I am going to give away one {colton} and one {cadence }doll each month!
The dolls will be dressed in fabric to coordinate with the holiday or season of the month.
So, for February they are all about…LOVE!
