It’s been a long stretch of traveling for Ryan.
He’s tired.
I’m tired.
This stretch of travel has put him away 11 out of 15 days.
He’ll come home for one day, and then the kids and I leave on a road trip for a family wedding.
Lorelai and Reece are flower girl and ring bearer along with my sisters daughter, Sasha.
My mom is flying out to Portland to help me drive to Northern Idaho.
Ryan is staying in Portland to spend time with some friends who are visiting from the Boise area.
He will meet us in Northern Idaho sometime next week…at least that is the plan.
I’m looking forward to some celebrating, playtime, and fun with my extended family.
And, I’m hoping to come back home re-energized to end the summer…we still have a lot of our summer list left to accomplish!

home is…looking forward to a road trip.
I re-energize at our family cabin in GA. With lots of family around. Headed there this weekend for a long visit! So excited.
If you’re near Waterville, stop and say ‘hello.’ π Hmm… to re-energize… I’m an extrovert at heart, but I thrive off of alone-time. From a solo walk, to a solo grocery trip- anything where I can revel in the quiet.
Usually after a vacation I need to get back into the swing of things with my daily routine. Re-energize my head I call it! I always start the day with a cup of coffee and a nice warm shower. Then I make sure I get all the grocery shopping done for the week. I stock up on lots of summer fruits. I feel like natural sugars give me the energy I need to get through the day as a SAHM. Then I take my time and be mindful about my daily activities. Being mindful gets me re-energized for the days challenges.
To re-energize I paint, well I doodle something first then I paint it. Once the twins go to bed of course. Ive painted on archways in my house, the kitchen wall, my twins bedroom, pretty much anywhere I get the feeling to do so…..only requirement I was given is “no black on the ceiling please”…..by my husband π
to re-energize sometimes it’s something as simple as going for a walk outside, other times it’s getting away all by myself (while my sweet husband watches the kiddos) while i just have a little “me” time doing whatever i want.
i’ve been following on instagram for a bit & i LOVE this pendant light!

I often go for walks to re-energize! Love being outdoors in the Beautiul sun or sunset π and feelin like I am doing something healthy for my body ! And it doesn’t hurt either that the fresh air helps the baby boy sleep! ;). If I’m walking alone I’ll have some good tunes playing that is always energizing!!
I am hesitant to tell the truth here… sometimes I sneak off into my bedroom alone and curl up on my bed and take a 20 min nap– and I’m not gonna lie… It’s wonderful!
