“Mommy, why does Caillou not have any hair?”
home is…a good question.
at 2:43 am…
Mommy: “Why did you come in here?”
Little Guy: {silence}
M: “Did you hear a scary noise?”
LG: “No.”
M: “Did you have a scary dream?”
LG: “I just love you.”
Then a few moments later, “I don’t have scary dreams, just good ones.”
home is…loving him so much i can hardly stand it!
After the kids ate dinner tonight I was wiping macaroni and cheese off the newly cleaned floors.
LG: “Mommy, how did that spot get there?”
M: “It’s a stain, we can’t clean it off.”
LG: “I know what could help you clean it off. The O-Cedar ProMist!”
home is…the little guy watching a bit too much TV when mommy is sick.
“Mommy, you should get three red dresses. They are pretty. And, do the smoky eyes. I saw that on a commercial.”
home is…where does he get this stuff?!
After talking about how he learned about Presidents in school yesterday I asked him if he would like to be President someday. His answer:
“No, I just want to be myself.”
The first words out of the little guys mouth this morning as we were snuggling in bed:
“Mommy, when I grow up I want to be a BatMobile driver…and, I will speed away!”
(He’s really into Batman now.)
On the way home from school yesterday the little guy asked, “Mommy, is it grandpa hogs day today?”
(He learned about Groundhogs Day and seeing shadows in school last week)
Also on the way home…
Baby girl was crying and the little guy said to her, “We’re almost home, sweetie. We’re almost home. OK, sweetie?”
He kept repeating this until she stopped crying. He takes good care of his baby sister.
“It’s not sparkle magic. It’s Reecie magic. Like Mommy magic.”
lg: “I don’t want music on!”
m: “Lola wants a dance party. Look, she’s already dancing.”
lg: “Well, she has a song in her head. She doesn’t need music.”
lg: “Mommy, look! A mess!”
(frozen blueberries are all over the table)
m: “Why did you make a mess?”
lg: “I didn’t.”
m: “Well, who did?”
lg: “The blueberries!”
