Now that this post a day 2011 is here, and I have accepted the challenge, I am wondering how I will accomplish it.
How do I blog EVERYDAY?
Is it better to blog first thing in the morning before the kids get up and the chaos begins?
Or, should I wait until the end of the day when I have a lot on my mind to write about, but little energy to actually do it?
OR, should I just write whenever I get the chance to like I have been doing?
There are positives and negatives to all of the above.
What would you do?
I’d just blog when you have stuff to say. I think it’s more impactful than just writing something for the sake of writing it. Just my two cents.
Manny,
I keep an ongoing list of topics, so sometimes my posts are planned, sometimes they come from something that happened that day, and sometimes I even schedule them in advance. It is easy to write about design projects anytime…things the kids do and some of the adventures we have a best as impromptu posts.
Thanks for your two cents…and for supporting me in my challenge!
Let me know if there is anything you want to read about!
Stephany
I think you can write whenever you are motivated to do so…or whenever you can fit it in. Even if it is to let us know how your day is going 🙂
Thanks Steph!
Yes, blog posts may just be about what we accomplished (or did not accomplish) that day! I hope to blog about design and some of our adventures along the way, too!
What are your plans for your blog this year? I love to read it!
If it was me I think I’d wait until I had some form of inspiration or an idea, knowing that the end of the day (when the munchkins are asleep and you have some time) is the deadline for posting your blog. You may get multiple ideas for topics in a day and then you could keep the ideas for future blogs.
I prefer to note down everything and then work on it afterwards when I am done with everything else.
Whichever works best for you that day OR pick a set time, but be flexible with yourself, so that if something comes up you can write at a different time. Being very un-designy, I love reading your design ideas/tips. In fact, on any of the blogs I read, I love to learn something new…. tips, recipes, ideas, etc. Keep up the good work!
