A lot of the time I go just to take photos and get inspired. Sometimes that is treasure enough.

what is a “hall pass”? I’d love to do some of this kind of hunting with you in May if you are in the mood!
A “hall pass” is just “permission” from my husband to leave on a Saturday to go do something by myself. He also has to get a “hall pass” to go hunting, etc. ;^)
