Actually, at 9:07 pm we got a flash of lightning and a rumble of thunder.
That’s how thunderstorms roll here in the Pacific Northwest.

We got the same, but the lightening strikes map showed it hit about 1.5 blocks from our house. Tony and I jumped out of our skin. I’ve been around lots of thunderstorms, having grown up in NC, and I only remember a strike so close one other time. The weird thing was, there was nothing before or after this one.
It was a rumble where we are.
My house was hit by lighting when I was growing up.
I know how loud and scary it can get.
My parents house (different one than I grew up in) has been hit 2 times.
That may have something to do with my fear of thunderstorms.
